Si forma aggiungendo “-ed” alla forma base dei verbi regolari oppure usando la seconda voce del paradigma dei verbi irregolari.

Il Presente simple si forma semplicemente togliendo il to dall'infinito del verbo. Alla terza persona singolare (he, she e it) si aggiunge la desinenza –s o –es alla forma base del verbo. Le interrogative e le negative si formano con do/does e do not (don't)/does not(doesn't). INTERROGATIVA Do you speak English?

Come si forma la frase con did?

Le frasi interrogative si formano con l'ausiliare did davanti al soggetto a cui segue la forma base del verbo. Il verbo TO BE fa eccezione perché assume la posizione davanti al soggetto e non richiede l'uso dell'ausiliare did. Did he have breakfast yesterday? Did you drink my coffee?
